"He disassembled and cleaned the V-twin’s Schebler carburetor, which was virtually identical to the one on his 22-hp, 45-cu.in. V-twin-powered 1930 Indian 101 Scout. After treating the carburetor’s cork float with two coats of gas-tank sealer, he put it back together without having to replace the gaskets: “The float floated the way it’s supposed to. Everything worked perfectly: It never leaked a drop of gas.”
