Anyone care to share how that has gone for you? Once you are winners circle, you still run the bike, right? So now even if your bike was high point rated when you achieved the WC status. The club encourages you to run the bike. Now they add a new level of judging for WC status machines. For those of you that were say 90 points or higher at WC a number of years back, ran the bike and maintained to the points rating, and even corrected some things that got you closer to 100 pts - how did your judging go? Were you penalized for blue pipes? Faded rare cast aluminum timing and primary covers? I'm just curious what judges focus in on with a high point WC bike maintained at the same level of "correctness" but has signs of use.
I guess I'm looking for detail on how this new level of status works. Of course if you kept your WC 99+ resotration covered and unused you would be fine. But what if you actually ran it but have no damage but things like blued pipes, dull sand cast, etc are present. Are we expected to make it look all shiney and new as it did wihen it received the WC award as if never run again afterwards?
