My son found a box of glass plate negatives called 'A trip to Loch Lomond by Motorcycle' including this photo of the the two guys making the trip. The bike has acetylene lighting and an early London license plate, but I can't figure out the make or model. Any help appreciated.

Dear All, I posted this picture on the British VMCC Website and they also came up with a 1908 Phelon and Moore. They were based in Cleckheaton, Yorkshire, and used the forward sloping engine as a structural member from the early days. Their bikes became the Panther, and I remember having a 1963 Panther Model 120 with a 650 cc single cylinder engine with the front forks attached to the cylinder head. They lasted a couple more years then that was it.
To Steve, contact me outside this bulletin board. My son is a collector rather than a seller, and you may have to buy all 50 glass plate slides and promise to write a magazine article.
