  • exhaust leak problem

Is there any good way to seal the exhaust pipes into the jugs so that they can still be removed at a later date. I seam to be getting a lot of leakage in this area.

    Thanks

        rwrun,
The exhaust pipe should be swaged, or expanded to fit the cylinder. A small tail pipe expander available through Harbor Freight and other sources works well, but work slowly.
Although not as correct, I have seen some people cut up a beer can and wrap it around the exhaust pipe where it fits into the cylinder.

Good answer Johnny, especially the beer can part.

Try small tin cans, like for mushrooms or tomato paste. The tin ones last much longer than the beer can shims. Works well on Panheads with worn ports!
