Where did you get those pipes from? I'm trying to figure out what to use on my '48 Chief bobber-in-progress, and so far, those are the best I've seen.

The pipes were made locally, a friend in the muffler business. They are made from aluminized steel. Won't rust or discolor. Claims I would have to really have all the distributer timing and carb way off base. I believe him because my timing was off and didn't do any coloring to them at all. Also when I have had oil drip onto the pipes I could gently scrape it off and then give a sanding or scratch pad to them to blend it in. Wasn't done with a fancy bender either. He doesn't own the type that when bend without a slight dimple to them. I have no problems with the way they are. Woody
