Have to give the creator of eBay 57' Indian Bastard an A+ for ingenuity! Kinda reminds me of William*(Wild Bill) Gelbke's Roadog. If i remember correctly, Buzz Walneck tracked this monstrosity down after years of searching. Don't know what ever happened after that? *M.A.D.

yeah, i know of the "going on since inception" aspect and wild bill gelbke, road dog. gelbke's bike was home brew and looks purpose built, i.e., designed to ride. the guy on the 3 wheeler you posted is home brew and looks purpose built, i.e., designed to ride. the russian tank powered bike is an extension or a leap from something like gelbke's but not in the same category as the guy on the 3 wheeler. i even get the bikes using radial engine from aircraft.
for whatever the reason, this royal enfield kum indian just doesn't fit in that category. it looks too made up or like a novelty item. it has stuff hanging off it pretty much all over the bike that makes no sense to me. like it was built by some wannabe designer to appeal to someone with more money than good sense.Steve Swan

pretentious. now that's a good word to describe this enfield kum indian mess. how about a pretentious derivative mess. sort of like nicole kidman looking out of place in the movie "cold mountain" because she looks too pretty and polished to be a a country girl in a civil war movie.Last edited by Steve Swan; 04-07-2017, 10:45 AM.Steve Swan

I saw this bike in WV in 2013 with the Indian motor (tried to find the old photos on my computer to no avail). I see it's moved West.William Edwards, AMCA #10035

Knuck/Knuck *E.S. This originally started out as a pup-licity stunt in San Fransicko back in the mid 40's. The real objective intended, was the premier of a chain of new restaurants called..."Dog In A Boot". Not to be confused with the latter franchise called, "Jack in the Box". This Unique Restaurant visionary--Fats Walleter, even devised a plan to speed up the carryout orders, he hired ex-Isle of Mann racer Frank(the Man)'Footer' and his trusty Norton Manx to give the World's first Hot & Ready service-1/2 hour or it's Free deliveries. Rumor is, the whole chain folded rather quickly, despite numerous failed attempts by the skid row bums who were accustomed to 'Boot Strap soup A la moldy, and hot fried 'Poodle Tails on a stick. *M.A.D.*

OK, Seeing some of these "homebuilts and Rat Rod Bikes" reminded me of when I was at the Hershey Fall meet back in 2010 I took these pictures. I'd love to see one of these monstrosities actually RUN down the road! Which makes me ask... anyone know where this "Bike" is now?
