Help with Identifying this MC in Old picture, and ID'ing an Old Carb

    Help with Identifying this MC in Old picture, and ID'ing an Old Carb

    I swear I'm gonna stop buying this stuff, but I never do.

    Some of the recent things I cannot ID. Can anyone help.

    First I am trying to figure out what this bike is that is doing what looks like an amateur hill climb in England maybe. My guess is it is a British twin 20's or 30's (bulb horn on the handlebar). Not the best picture but any help would be appreciated.

    Secondly I got this Linkert carb in a lot with some other parts but I can't figure out what it is for (not even sure it is for a motorcycle). It is stamped 81-A. I am assuming if it was for a bike it would be M81-A but I'm not sure.

    Any ideas?

    Midman!

    Its cleaner than the last time I saw it.

    The cable-contolled choke, and the intake studs suggest suggest automotive or stationary use.
    The green paint and throat-venting suggest military.

    The choke detente and cam are Indian-style, and I have a pic of it showing a standard Indian main nozzle, and a very different valve on the bowl, suggesting it was tapered thread.
    The throttlelever, however, is H-D style.

    Can you guess at the bore of the venturi?
    If its 15/16", then its the same as a WLA and similar to my photos (although it appears brass); If 1 1/16", its the same as Indian, if much smaller, its probably for a stationary power supply.

          I was referring to the first picture of the hill-climbing motorcycle. Midman asked what make the motorcycle might be.
