They are actually a bit lax with penalties but you can get points docked for leaving early, arriving late, arriving early, missing check point (which are very few), using a gps, getting unauthorized/improper help, using a relief rider, etc.

I forget, what are the different penalty points given out for? I think the 100 is for combined riders on one machine, but what about the others being accessed? Thanks.
