Despite the rain this AM... fantastic as usual. I have some pictures to upload after I relax for a bit after 1200+ miles in the last 48 hours.

Someone please go buy Martin Hansen's Pan (bike only) so I can have the sidecar. Someone must need a superbly sorted '52 Pan WITHOUT a sidecar for $22K? I need that sidecar.

When people ask me to describe Rhinebeck... I always say that it is like the movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". There is that one scene when they first enter ToonTown... and there is so much going on in the picture that you can't even begin to take it all in. A Zundapp with MG34 rides past you in one direction while a Black Shadow goes the other way, being tailgated by an early Servicar... behind you passes a Brough followed by a Scott Squirrel and a Chief. Eye candy everywhere you turn your head!

Great job to the organizers. I'll be there next year!

    Cheers,

    Sirhr

This Zundapp was putting around the field. Nice to see one! I helped restore a 1930's Zundapp Sport that had been drafted into military service. Great fun machine to ride and work on.

      IMG_0372.jpg

I used to own a bike so identical to this... that I was sure it had been mine. Great time warp machine and the owner was a real gentleman!

This JD just spoke to me. What a lovely restoration.

      IMG_0356.jpg

I WANTED this XA rather badly. Neat machine. Yes, needs everything. But... wow.

      IMG_0380.jpg

I don't know the history of this Indian... but I could not take my eyes off it. There was a chrome-plated HD made for the President of Mexico (It's in the Smithsonion)... was this similar? Is the metalwork chrome or aluminum? I didn't want to touch to find out.

More pix coming. Just random stuff that caught my eye.

      Cheers,

      Sirhr

        '46 with sidecar. Nice package!

        IMG_0432.jpg

Not sure if this has a hill-climbing history or is something folks cobbled together, but I loved seeing it. Neat machine. There was a Pan behind it. This just looks mean! Old Snow tires made great climbing paddles!

        IMG_0428.jpg

Camelback at $87K. Heep cool machine!

        IMG_0412.jpg

This machine with the tandem side-by-side seat was amazing. The owner has the information on the owner who took his family on a long ride on it... that is just an amazing piece of history Hope we see more about this one!

        IMG_0434.jpg

I always wanted one of these... This one is lovely!!! And Guzzi's are such bulletproof machines.

        A few more to come,

        Cheers,

        Sirhr

This is a claimed 1914 engine that was on the grass for $3700... If you can build a bike around it... seems like a decent deal?

          IMG_0448.jpg

          Same engine

          IMG_0436.jpg

This was a gorgeous Norton conversion. Big tank for endurance road racing? Someone please tell more. Incredible restoration and detail.

          IMG_0446.jpg

This old police Indian was just a beautiful blend of patinas. Not sure whether it was always in this configuration... maybe someone knows its history. But it caught my eye!

          Just some random pix.

          Cheers,

          Sirhr

                Sirhr,

I think that yellow Knuck belongs to Matt McManus. Maybe he'll show up and give us the skinny.

That camelback is indeed a "heep cool machine"!!!

I believe there was an article on that tandem Emblem in a past issue of the club mag. I'm really sure there's a shot of it in the "Old Photos" thread.

                What no angled spark plug???

I thought of you when I saw it, Cory.

I think the same guy had a couple of early Cylinders, too. I have his number if you want it. I am pretty sure he had some of the parts you need for your motor.

That sport twin looks kind of similar to one that was at Dixon a few years ago. Wonder if it will be there again? Guess I'll find out soon.
