      Hanson Sport Shields were designed and made by Berger Hanson in Aurora, IL. My dad helped assemble them, and I have two, and parts of a third.
      There were quite popular locally. and there still may be some in garage attics in this area (that's where mine were found.)

      Dale Walksler is a good authority on them, as he has met Berger Hanson's daughter or granddaughter and has a lot of insights
      on Mr. Hanson and his other innovations, which include creating a kit to reverse the stock Harley tank shifter position
      from the 1940s, to what Harley changed it to, post-war, with 4th gear shift lever positioned all the way forward.

          Batavia is about ten miles north of downtown Aurora, on Highways 31 and 25.
          In fact, both towns now border each other along Butterfield Road.
