So, is anyone here interested in helping share Harley history knowledge and info on the new site? It is apparent the purpose of this thread was lost early on.

Cotten has a lot of great info and is happy to share. The ex-moderator at the www.caimag.com site has long gone and it has turned into a friendly, helfpul forum with some really great folks there.

The new site at www.classic-harley.info is a blog, not a forum. All help there is greatly appreciated.

I'd just point out that the claim on the cai.com webpage that the 36EL was "the first production OHV Harley motorcycles ever" is not correct. The first ever production H-D overhead-valve motorcycle was the 21-ci OHV Single of the 1920s.

It's not the best known H-D model but should not be forgotten as it did lay the groundwork for the great Knucklehead line to come.

Thanks for pointing this out. I learned something new from you and will make the change on the www.caimag.com site.
