Rooster.......Herb's book is a pretty good read. When I find my memory fading on it's contents, I just pick it up and read it again! That book is the main reason I fell in love with Harleys all over again! Oh, and I think your right about Scott's racing pic. I can read a 1910 and 1911 on it. I also see Motor Cycling but I'm not sure what the "H" word is. I still wish we had the stories for some of these races...

Any idea the date and location of this photo?? I am reading Herbert Wagner's excellent and informative book "At The Creation", and this photo looks like it could fall right into the storyline!
Incidentally, I believe this photo is reversed. If you use a photo-editing software and flip it horizontally, suddenly the writing becomes legible. It appears to have a date of 1910 or 1911 (was written over) and 'perhaps' the words "Motor Cycling, Hammond (?)"
