Bon sure was!!! First seen Ac/Dc when they backed~up Black Sabbath. They wasted them~Hahaha. Brian Johnson will not perform... 'It's A Long Way To The Top' as a tribute to the late Bon Scott. I believe it was Bon's idea with the bagpipes, since he could play them.Originally posted by Peter Cooke View Post
Swanston Street in Melbourne. Bon Scott was one of the best frontmen around!

I was curious about Bon Scott playing the bagpipes, also! Turns out to be a funny story.Originally posted by JoJo357 View Post

Bon was born in Scotland, where they have a tradition of bagpiping.
" Bagpipes gained military importance in the 16th century, and pipers accompanied Scottish armed forces into battle. It was said that the stirring sound of the bagpipes boosted soldiers' morale and intimidated the enemy."

After Bon died, I stopped listening to new AC/DC; the only song that caught my attention was The Razor's Edge.Originally posted by Peter Cooke View Post
I'd be more than happy if Brian Johnson didn't perform anything ever! He ain't my cup 'o' tea. Just my 2c worth, opinions may vary....

For what it's worth, the band was totally devastated by the loss of Bon Scott, as to the point of a complete break~up of the AC/DC Band. When Back in Black was released, AC/DC skyrocketed to the top. This partially was due to the fact that Bon's Mother, who happened to be close with the existing band members, urged them...NOT to disband. She explained that Bon would have wanted them to press on.The result was the chart busting 'Back In Black'!!! I'm not cRaZy about Johnson's voice, but I think he did a great job to pickup the pieces where Bon left off. A friend of mine knows Brian, and he said there couldn't be a nicer guy around. *R.i.P.
