If I remember correctly, sometimes people would donate items and then everyone was given a chance to pick a # and whoever picked correctly or was closest would win. Some nice NOS parts were often won. Mark N. from Texas posted daily vintage pictures. The one contest was a flash drive with 3-4K pictures of that forums' pictures on it, which I won.
