Dear Jarek, some of the small Police Departments bought stock bikes in the regular paint schemes. I have a picture of two 1933 VLs if I can find them. Harley seemed to have two whites, regular white for civilian bikes and high visibility white for the Police. Palmer's book lists Police Blue, Police Grey and Police Silver but only one White, so maybe the high visibility white was just marketing puff.

My OP Chicago Servi was Police silver from HD,Painted white over the silver after 1 year use & then blue was added after a bunch of dings. They left the panel on back white so they didn't replace the large police sign..From Chicago police archives. If your to strip that silver,it does not remove easy.

My '86 FXRP was/is white. The department that ordered it would have put white POLICE lettering on black bags, black lettering on white faring. No decals or lettering on tanks.
Thank you to everyone that posts photos in this thread- I love perusing them !
