 So, a lot of these photos show bikes with those Firestone tires on them. Yet... when people buy the Repro Firestones people say they aren't any good for the road. Were Firestones the "go to" tire of the day? OR is it just that there are more grooved roads and metal bridge grates now? Just wondering as I put AVON MKII tires on my Indian.Jim

 H-D used several brands and bikes were equipped with whatever the factory had on hand in most cases. So it often wasn't a decision by the owner, just what they ended up with.
