Hey Tom....wouldn't that National gas saver device be like adding a manifold air leak and possibly damage the engine from being too lean ? I used your bubble test method to eliminate any leaks and can't see why someone would want to add one. Am I right in this thinking?

The 1929/30 Harley twin headlamps were blamed for night-time accidents where a close motorcycle was taken to be a distant car, and banned in some states. For 1931 Harley went to the single Motolamp headlamp and bracket 4965-31, with this 4965-29A briefly appearing in the parts books as a retrofit.

The 2 girls on the right look like Sisters that went cross county on H-Ds back in the teens, or early '20s. I can't remember where I saw the story about them, but curious if they look familiar to others.Originally posted by T. Cotten View PostEric Smith

I was wrong. I looked at Cristine Sommer Simmons' excellent book, "The American Motorcycle Girls". The girls I was thinking of were August, and Adeline Van Buren and they did their ride on 1916 Indians. They're all pretty, so easy to get confused Eric Smith Eric Smith
