More VLs. The bottom bike in #3979 is a 1931 with the one-year chubby muffler and the 1931/2 flat lens Motolamp. #3981 shows a 1933 VL with the one-year bird logo on the tank. Is that an electric siren on the handlebars?

That last one, 3983 is a 1936 as evidenced by the one year only spring cover on the front end as well as the one year horn mounts and the wheel rims coordinated with the paint job....nice pic and thanks for all your effort in posting them all the time, much appreciated. Smitty

Thanks Smitty and I agree #3983 looks like a '36. The fork shield and horn brackets were one-year only for 1936 on the VL, but versions continued through 1939 on the small twins while they continued to use the I-beam fork.
