I think we all agree on what's a 'headlight', usually larger than a 'spot light', which is larger than a "parking" light to use HDs terms,.. some of them anyway.

Ain't that a fender light, Craig?
(Just another boat light to me.)
The spot bracket looks almost familiar, but I'm chassis-challenged..

    PS: Wasn't easy Folks.

But yes, here's the Do-Ray fender lamp stamp!

    Awesome.
Cotten; Again you are correct. It's a fender light. And was probably marketed as a clearance light for truck cabs. But I like the look better than the Guide light that came standard on this model. And it fits the radius of the Harley fender perfectly. This bike was pretty much a basket case when I bought it. It started as a chopper that I built, then a brand new Ford Escort did not see me at 9:30 pm one night in 1991 and I built it back stock, except for the chrome.image0.jpgimage0-051.jpgimage0-052.jpgimage0-058.jpg

      Robbie,
I would definitely like to know more about that spotlight bar. Who made them and when?
The one I have originally did not appear to be chrome plated. I thought it was maybe polished stainless but it is magnetic. It had some road rash that I welded up then had it chromed. This was many years ago. It gas welded very well with steel rod. The chrome is now peeling as they didn't copper plate it before the chrome.
      Thank you in advance.

        Beware Rod,

Stainless becomes magnetic when it is worked to shape.

PS: The other end of this stainless plate is not magnetic.

          Cotton,
First off I must say it was a pleasure to meet you at Davenport. Nice to put a face to some one here.
As I have never seen any rust on this light bar I still assume that it is stainless. I have had it since about 1966.
I also have another one of these light bars that I picked up at a swap meet a couple of years ago and it is defiantly
chrome plated. The base metal is rusty where the chrome has peeled.
I am still hoping that Robbie comes along with more info on these spotlight bars.
Bye for now and thank you for the magnetic info.
