These Yankee running lights came with my '46 Chief, and I understand there's a variety of aftermarket lights like these out there, e.g. Guide. Don't know much about Yankee, but I did somewhere see that Yankee made lights earlier than 1946, so I guess they'd be considered period accessories!

I just gave away a DoRay headlamp (or whatever: Chicago Toronto?) to a buddy at Dport, Folks!

Like a bad penny, it will probably still come back.

Harry; I think that I have some later Yankee lights. I'll have to check. But I've never seen the one's that you have. Only Guide and early unmarked lights.

They are fence post caps, Craig!

The rest is mostly stainless, plus halogen bulbs.

The two spare stanchions are for mounting vertically, by moving the clear plug.

The glass lenses are 'real'.

We better define terms, Folks!

I think we all agree on what's a 'headlight', usually larger than a 'spot light', which is larger than a "parking" light to use HDs terms,.. some of them anyway.

Do-Rays as well as many others were used as Truck/Trailer clearance lights by lots of companies, clear, yellow red and sometimes other colored lenses. The spotlight bracket is a period piece. I can find the name if I look in my stuff, I have a couple of them on my '47s.

Not lights but one of the more elusive H-D reflectors...
