Hello, just recently picked up a 29 two cam engine missing left # case,I understand blank cases sometimes show up !! Can anyone help, Thank You Carl Estes Pusherman Racing

Just get a JD case and slip in an "H". There is usually room.

Hello all, since it will be impossible to find the correct case for this motor, I feel that stamping an OEM blank case would be the socially acceptible thing to do. It would keep the cases as close as possible without imposing a foul ???? The belly # would then match,but how to choose a vin # ???? Thanks gang, Carl

Direct action 2 cam crankcase sets are being done here in NZ. I'll be seeing the guy who is doing them this weekend and can ask him if he'll sell a left side case only if thats what you want.

I didn't crucify anyone. Only stating what the laws are.
With that being said if you can't see the difference between romoving a serial number and replacing it with a completely different number and simply adding a letter "H" to a good number without removing anything there is no need for discussion. Sure, by the letter of the law it is wrong. But nothing is being removed. Why would a person remove a number anyway? Other than the fact that it is stolen.
If it were me I would get title to the case. Add the "H". Then take it back to DMV and tell them they made an error, which they often do, and have the number with the "H" on the title.
