  • Ebay Linkert M-5 With Repairs

I found a Linkert ( Possibly M-5 ) carb. body with bushings installed for the choke shaft and a plug in the air bleed on the idle side. Why the plug ??

    T'aint no M-5, Craig!

(L&L script, and not faced on the bottom for a doweled OHV bowl.)

Bushing the choke shaft is no big deal; But it looks like the side-vent has a peened plug: Good eye!

Must have run an Indian or military HD model venturi.

PS: It might just be the pic, but the bowlstem gallery plug holes look hogged.

Maybe an M-51. It might have trouble with the idle after looking at the stop on top.

That's an easy silver-solder repair, Craig!

The enormous bore wear from the throttle disc is the real idle problem.
