Mesinger #3 seat pan

I've recently picked up what I'm pretty sure is a Mesinger #3 seat pan for my '28 Scout project. Are the edges supposed to be flanged (turned down)? Hopefully the attached pictures will come out.

Thanks for the comeback, Perry. It does have studs, here's the other studly side. I was concerned because some of the seat pans I've seen aren't turned down on the edges, although this looked pretty factory to me.
