  • 741 Tail Lights

What company made Indian 741 military tail lights? there are a blue million companies that made sets of these for Willys Jeeps and HD, though the HD sets are made a little different.
Did Corcoran Brown make the ones for Indian? My front fender marker light has the company stamp on it.

    JR,

Yes, Corcoran Brown made the lights for the 741. That is the correct fender marker light. On the front it should have C-B under the rectangular light opening. Similarly, the rear marker light and brake light should have the C-B embossed on their faces. You also see those lights marked GUIDE or YANKEE, but the C-B are correct for the 741.

I did see those, though I still have a hankerin for the original parts.
For example, I just got lucky--

Nice score. I had a complete set of those lights but sold them a couple years ago.

How are you set for a headlight?

Mine isn't a military issue like that one appears to be.
I bought a crusty rusty one from Matt Walksler that came from Mike Wolfe. I always watch the show and thought it was pretty cool to get a few parts.
It does not look like this now. I drill-brushed, dry-sanded then primed and painted the shell. Looks better though had some pitting. I'm sending the bezel out for chrome soon and then it will go to Bob's Indian Sales in about a year or so when I ship everything for restoration and assembly.

What do you want for your lamp?

That's amazing. You can PM the number if you want to sell either one. I have never seen the box in person. I remember before when I posted information and asked members about Corcoran Brown, someone posted photos of an original box. No rush. I'll check messages tomorrow morning.
Thanks, Joe. I'm saving these to my photo file.
