Where is the frame serial number on a 1941 Scout?

No shocks but found it on the frame near the rear tire mount thanks!!

Thanks and that is a good point I guess mine is just a Scout 741 right? the 741-B was the military version?

I don't know a lot about the 741's. I sort of thought they were all designated for the military.

Many machines were civilianized after the war. I just can't say definitively that they "didn't" make a civilian model. Aside from all that, you've got a fine looking Indian and it's always good to hear about another old bike hitting the road.
