Hello,
Just picked up some interesting 1927 Indian scout cases recently and they have me thinking what they are for. As you can see from the pictures it has a third area on the cases for a cylinder or something else. What is really interesting is that it was cast like that and then welded around the entire area to strengthen it. What I am wondering is, has anybody seen anything like this or is this something made in the backyard? I have attached some pictures of the outside of the cases to give you guys an idea and will get some pictures of the inside to show the third section being cast into the cases and not just cut up and welded on.
