I think I may go out and pour some whisky over my previous owners grave. I just discovered he was kind enough to leave me a bag of replacement bearings, in orig. boxes. I was fooling around w/ Trans. tonight. In the bottom I found the upper stearing head races. All the spacers, everything! Very cool.
One of them --- SKF 7207B, has a flexable inner race. It pivots? The balls are caged. So maybe for the inner primary cover?
OK - I think I found it. A Single row angular contact ball bearing. SKF.com
