  • return pump gear removal? Key cocked.

I'm having real difficulty removing dist. gear (bottom) from cast pump. The key appears to be slightly cocked. Any thoughts or ideas? How is the gear supposed to be removed? I thought I'd ask -before I start to get real aggressive with it. I'm real nervous about getting aggressive with it. I think these return gears should be replaced. So if they get destroyed in the process- that's fine I guess.

Should I drill it out? A last resort I'd think.

You place something sm and sq under it. Like a driver bit on each side. Then drift shaft. No Problem.

Any tips for getting the helix gear pin out?
