    Shake proofing valve covers

It is always nice to keep the screw down type of valve covers finger tight, but a nuisance to have them vibrate open. I have found that small rare earth magnets about 1/4" diameter put at the base keep them from undoing themselves. They also keep the covers up and out of the way for adjusting the valves by putting them at the top. There are many other applications for using these little magnets to keep things from buzzing loose.

Now that's a good idea. I often use a bent coat hanger to hold valve covers up but I like the idea of a small magnet much better. It's stuff like this that proves the AMCA is full of geniuses.
