ID Early Indian Tank

A friend has an old early Indian tank (looks OP) and asked if I could help him ID it. I’m m not an Indian person – but still wanted to see this tank. I grab a few Indian books I had, we searched the books and we think it might be a 1914 or ’15 tank? It is purdy to me! Can anyone help ID? FYI - He does not want to sell the tank (I asked) and he wondered what a value might be. I didn’t speculate.

I agree with 1914-1915 vintage. I have to believe it is an ancient repaint as the decal is not level and that seems odd that it wouldn't be closer to level. However, I have seen a number of original paint excelsior fenders that had a crooked X decal at the tip. Regardless, that is a beautiful tank, and something to be very proud to display. Still, every tank of that vintage I have seen has the decal level to the bottom of the tank.

Thanks Eric! Good catch. I now see that the decal is not quite level. The crooked X you mentioned made me wonder if it was applied on pay day! haha
