741 Primary Drive Chain

My Indian 741's primary drive chain needs a link removed. With the adjusting screw/tension shoe all the way in it still rubs on the inside of the primary cover.
I dont know how to remove a link. Ive looked and can't seem to find a master link. Can it be done without a master link? Would some one would be kind enough to tell me how to so this and what tools I'll need. Or would I be better off buying a new chain with a master link?

Sounds like the chain is fully stretched if the chain tensioner is fully wound in... maybe time to buy a new chain before the one you have fails or chews through the primary casing.

I think that sounds logical. A new chain is not that expensive.
