          Hi,
The 1916 Indian Model K is a very rare machine, and yours is one of the very few that have surfaced on eBay in years. If you 'Google'; '1916 Indian Model K', you will find several photos that might help. Here is one:

Didn't buy on ebay, but it was listed twice with no bids, so we came to an agreement. I tend to buy the unique bikes, I hate having anything that's common. I need specific answers to get this thing up and running where pics won't help...hopefully Tom Wilcock will pipe up. There will be a YouTube video when running, check out my others under "LouieMCman" on YouTube.

Congratulations on your purchase, Louie. I just got back from Wauseon. The K model footboards are just like the model 0. They are not tight and do move. Is it only the front chainguard you need or the middle one also? My bike was completely disassembled when I got it. I did make patterns from the chainguards before I assembled the bike and amsupposed to make chainguards for someone when I have time, (whenever that is). I can email you a copy of the patterns if you like. I can send a picture and dimensions of the kickstart spring. I also am missing the cap for the carb tickler. My headstock decal is not readable but it is 3 1/4" high. I assume it is the standard Indian patent decal. My original front tire is 26 X 2 1/4 and the rear is 26 X 2 1/2". They were grey rubber. The front one was split so I replaced it with a black 26 X 2 1/2 because the 2 1/4" is not available. The rear tire I filled with foam so I could leave it on and preserve it. If I can repair the front one I will reinstall it and fill it with foam. I can email you a copy of the parts list and manual. Tom Wilcock

Louie: I forgot to mention that I think your handlebars are close but not correct. Model O used the same handlebars as the K. You are missing the decompressor valve which fits on the top of the cylinder in place of the primer on yours. The decompressor is operated by a hand lever on the left handlebar. Tom

Hi Tom, I judged your bike at Wauseon last year but didn't take any pics but now I wish I had! Who knew I would have one within a year..I have more questions..

The only chain guard I have is the rear one, I didn't know there were three, I guess I need to see some more pics of the other two and YES please send the patterns!
Kick Spring..YES please send the pics and dimensions.
Copy of parts book and manual...YES please email to me.
Handlebars...Can you send some detailed pics maybe with a tape measure next to it or measurements?
Decompress lever/valve.. Also need some detailed pics..So I can find one or make one.
As a matter of fact, you can send any thing you got on the K model, thanks.

I really appreciate any and all you can help me out with, plan on getting this thing running and riding it.
