  • Indian Model 341 Tractor

On the way back home from Departure Bike Works Spring Swap meet in Chesterfield, VA, my friends & I stopped at Keystone Antique Truck and Tractor Museum (http://www.keystonetractorworks.com/) in Colonial Heights, VA. Walking in the huge 70k+ square foot museum space right in front was a very nice home-brew tractor made with an Indian Model 341 motor and 3-speed transmission. Truly an amazing engineering feat! If ever in the area (South of Richmond, VA just off I-95 @ Exit 53) you should visit. This very impressive collection is worth the visit!

Nice! Great work on Mr Kanner's part. It looks like a 741 scout motor to me though.

Anybody else notice the odd count on the wheel lugs? Don't think I've ever seen 7.

So wonder how it starts. Hand cranking the kick starter? Is that even possible? The more I look at the details the more mind boggling it is. Hope the rear axle is geared really low.

There is the kicker arm, hanging straight down, in the 1st and 3rd photos of the 1st set and 1st photo of the 2nd set.
