Primary clutch worm release

I recently acquired a worm release and I need help identifying it. It is approx. 3 inches in length. It seems to fall between the 1936 - 40 worm release (short one) and the 1941 - up worm release (tall one). The big difference is the spirals. This one has spirals that are up to approx. 1/4 of an inch thick/wide. The 1936 - up spirals are approx. 1/8 of an inch thick/wide. Any idea what year(s)/model(s) this beefy worm release works with?
