I just purchased a indian 741 the seller said the engine was just rebuilt ,the bike start fine ,and ideas good but when you put it in first gear and try to ride it ,it bogs down I adjusted the linkert carb by the book but it did not make any difference,I was wondering what I should check next. Thanks.

Also check your timing. 99 percent of carb issues are the ignition.
Unless the motor has major internal issues, your ignition and fuel are your culprits.
Check vacuum leaks first. Then check ignition. Make sure your timing is correct and you are firing on both cylinders.
Then you can start adjusting your carb and fine tuning.
