14 Indian exhaust muffler question

Looking at my muffler...I can't seem to figure out the orientation on the bike! Looking at ref. picts, the pipes come in from the front, and the exhaust out the back. Damn if my muffler doesn't look like it would exit forward! It LOOKS unaltered....if the exhaust was spun 180, it would fit. what am i missing here?

OK...I'm a moron. The muffler was reassembled incorrectly 50+ year ago. center section was reversed. all better now........

That's funny, I was wondering - but my 14 is all in pieces and I am not that knowledgeable about it myself. I thought it looked backwards, but was not sure at all.
