  • Burt Munro gets his license

As some of you might know Burt and my grandpa were friends back in the day. I found this article in some stuff I dug up at grandpa's house and thought I would share it here. It's kind of funny to think Burt never had a license to show a police officer if he got pulled over for speeding

Thanks for posting that Scott! It instantly got me thinking about the part in the movie when he got pulled over for doing about 150mph....

Until the Arab Oil Embargo of the '70's there was no speed limit in Nevada.

                    Very interesting!

Are you the "Scotty Parker" that dominated the AMA Flat track scene here in Springfield illinois years ago?

Thank you! That made my day.

I have to dig that DVD out and watch it again. Such a fun story. I know the movie is more of a 'compilation' of Munro's life and accomplishes, but it never ceases to bring a smile. Hopkins did a great job portraying him.

                      Cheers,

                      Sirhr
