Four clutch release rod

I set my engine in my frame to check the clutch release. The engine only has the crank so it wasen't very heavy. I grabbed the release rod which was a piece of 3/8 water pipe. I know it didn't come from the factory like that.What is the size of the release rod? Thanks stan

Stan, I could not find a release rod for my 29 four. I got dimentions from Dennis Young and copied photos. I made mine from 3/8 cold roll. The end is turned down to 5/16 at the rear for over an inch and threaded 5/16 NF. At the front the rod has to be heated and flatteend to the 90 degree bend for the pedal. if you want it to look stock. I can scan Dennis's drawing and add dimetions to the sketch. I also have the special nut, nickled ready to go. Email me off line and I can scan info to you....Joe
