  • Tank sealing

I posted this on the chief section, got a lot ol lookers, but no one responded. I need t seal my 36 four tanks, or do I. Has anyone here used a perticular product, and liked it. My tanks look real good inside is it really necessary? What is your opinion? Stan

There's been a lot of discussion about sealers. The consensus seems to be if it doesn't leak, don't use them. If it does leak, repair it properly. Some of the newer gasoline additives will soften sealers and cause problems.

My vote??? Leave them alone if you dont have to repair them. Some time ago I know some people were using the same material they use to coat airplane fuel tanks but Ive never used anything.

I vote to leave them alone! You could also use a little two stroke oil mixed with the fuel to keep an oil film on the inside.
