    Circuit breaker

I understand it is a good idea to install a circuit breaker on your motorcycle to protect from a elect. fire if something shorts out. I picked one up at a swap meet some years ago, and went to use it. It is marked 12V. I'm sure the person I bought it from said it is fine, but will it work on my 6 V system? Any thoughts. Stan

6-volt runs twice the amps as 12 volt. What is the amp rating of the breaker?

Yes a 12 volt will work on a 6 volt. They work on amp's.
I put them on all of my bikes. Saved the wireing once. The amp gage was shorting out and it was going on and off till I fixed it. I put them on the battery neg. post. 30 amp. works for me.
