    I need to know the correct type and size of bolts to attach a cast iron luggage rack to the rear fender of a 47 Chief. Thanks Bob M.

    i have the same rack for my 47 allthough its not mounted yet. ask bob at beard machine he will help you out .i dont have an e-mail for the shop but the phone 3 i have is 908-277-0217. sounds like youre chief is muuuch farther along than mine.

      after thinking about it i thought i had a nut and bolt list from bob , I DID!.he calls for a 1/4 x28x 7/8 bnolt (4 of them)

        Thanks for the information. I bought my hardware from Bob a few years ago and I looked at his website http://oldstylebolts.com today. I hadn't opened up the bag of bolts for the rear fender yet and when I did today there were 4 bolts for the luggage rack so I'm all set. Thanks again for the help.
