Morning people have a question on a repo crank pin for a chief. I brought a set of rods with the crank pin and race's as a set I am thinking maybe made by Superior or Dixie. I was told the oil passage feed is in the wrong position. The single feed to to the race's is 180 out compared to an original, . As long as the feed hole is lined up with the flywheel hole would this be ok to use ?? Cheers for any info Rob

Rob,
As long as the feed hole, lines up with the flywheel hole as you mentioned, it will of course get oiled.
I've been around cases like this before. The idea behind the relocation in those particular cases was to create a hydrodynamic film in relationship to the PPR ( peak pressure rise) seen above the piston in the combustion chamber. All relative to load seen at the race, bearing and crank pin from PPR and Connecting Rod Angle.
Hope this helps,
