    Front end greese for 1947

My front end has a few miles on it and i see that the knerled washers are loose and tight . But there close . The rear pins has greese fittings, the front does not . Im wanting to slide the shackle pins out just enough to greese them . Which side is best to undo ?

The left side with shaft tapered ends.I would pull the shafts out with one shackle at at time so you can inspect the shaft and grease fully.
As for adjustment if I get one side thrust washer to spin there is enough clearance. My experience adjusting until both spin is looser than necessary.
