Hey fellow Indian tribe members! Can anyone share some wisdom on removing a 46 Chief transmission tower still in frame? Trouble with "mystery shifting" in 2nd gear; long throw, hard to find it, false neutral etc. 1st and 3rd OK. I need to see what's going on with the shifter components inside the tower. Shift ball spring ball adjustment no effect. I made a shift rod with Heim joints to stock arm length and all other shift linkages fine. THX
