  • 1931-1932-1933 Chief Horn

Hello everyone. Its been awhile since I've posted as I have been making some good progress on my '32 Chief. I have included a couple of pics here for your perusal. Anyway....I am having a hard time trying to find a correct horn for my project. As I'm sure many of you know, the 31-33 Indians had a Moto-Vox horn with the Indian face that was crimped on and not bolted on. Wauseon, Davenport....you name it, no one has one or they are not willing to part with it. I know they are hard to come by, as there have been many threads on this subject for many years where folks have been looking for one. Well....I guess you can add me to that list. If anyone has this horn that they are willing to part with, I am a buyer. I am not a tire kicker nor am I looking to get a bargain, believe me, I know they are hard to come by. I know some of you might like cash and some of you might like to trade so if you have one and want to trade I do have 32-34 chief fork, 31 trans tower, 32 trans tower, several M6A linkert carbs, schebler DLX 91 carb plus a bunch of other '32 related internal engine parts. I sure would be grateful if someone is willing to part with this horn. Thanks for any help you might have in finding one of these. Brent email: bdawson67@gmail.com

Looking good Brent!!! Glad to see you're making progress. I too looked for years and lucked out and found one in my back yard. It was mounted on a later 30's JR Scout. Found the correct horn for that and traded. Had to restore it, which was really tough, unrolling, plating and re-rolling that cover on was tough! Kent Thompson was always the guy, or Roger Long, but they're both gone, rest their souls......Might be worth a call to Steve Rinker, he bought all of Kent's stuff. Good luck!

Bike looks great, sorry cant help with horn.
I am curious about the 31-33 dating.
I have a very original 34 chief that came with the crimped face.Vin is in the1400s so not early 34.
I always thought it was the correct horn, but also thought it was autolite.
So little documentation on these 30's chiefs I was just wondering if you have or have seen any docs.
              Good luck with search
              Tom
