      Hmmm, Thanks for the diagram. I'll have to do some remodification or figuring out as I get confused easily when it comes to wiring. Notice the way the switch is situated in the attachment. Makes it confusing.

        The wiring diagram Cotten posted is for the 1948 and up showing a generator light. 1947 has an ammeter.

          Hmm. That my have some reflection on the switch layout. The switch on Cotton's diagram mounts at 9 and 3 o'clock. My switch mounts at 10 and 4 o'clock. That's sitting on the bike and 12 o'clock is due north.

              More info. The latest way to wire the switch in order to preserve the contacts. This way distributes the current over two sets of contacts making the switch last longer.
