Anyone know if any of these hubs came with needle bearings instead of rollers and cages as I have one set up with needle bearings?

Never saw needles on anything 34-53 except girder fork shafts and trans cluster shaft modifications
when I helped a friend restore a very original 37 chief I seem to remember the rear hub bearings were different using I think HD type long rollers
l think Robin Markey told him 37 rear hub assembly was one year only
We used the standard later bearings,cages and races but I remember machining the hollow axles shorter which may have been because we reused the originals

Yes , Robin said they would have had needle bearings, ok for light riding. Also no locating holes in '37 hub.Comment
