  • 47 Chief Risers need new rubber

    I've got risers for my 47 Chief project but the rubber was shot. Does anyone have suggestions for replacement rubber or maybe Good quality repop risers with rubber already vulcanized?

    Geers has them;

    I have seen on ebay reproduction rubbers only from the continent of India. Cannot testify to quality.

    Good Luck

      Thanks! I didn't realize Jerry Greer had them. I know Kiwi was offering a vulcanizing service but they are changing service providers right now. These will get me going.

        I bought the ones from Greer a couple years ago. Excellent - No issues

          Just ordered a set (and a few other bits). I'm looking forward to finally start putting this thing together.

            Ebay vendor offers these. However, I'm not sure how you are supposed to bond them to your risers. As you know the original rubber is vulcanized.

              Thanks for the link. I'm sure some pro grade body shop epoxy would work. I ended up getting some from Greer's. One of the riser caps is a poor fit but will work with some properly applied persuasion.
