Seems odd to try and sell a bike with lots of upgrades including electric start and then add it needs a battery.

Yea I was thinking same though have seen instances where people get to a point they just want/need something gone......but having said that the price point is enough to make people think it could be legit, but cheap enough to make a hasty buyer with rose colored glasses send a deposit to hold it and seller never to be heard from again.

After 7 days on CL if its legit I'd think a matching number Chief with high curb appeal (even if it doesn't run) would be long gone by now.

It is a very handsome looking bike regardless if its a scam or not.
