1947 Chief remove handgrips

Alright I am missing something easy how do you remove the handgrips on the Chief? On the Harley there is a screw inside the handgrip but I am missing it on the Indian. I appreciate any help ! Thanks JEFF

unscrew the control sleeve nuts and slide back the sleeve while loosening to remove the sleeve and grip as one.

If you are asking how to actually remove the rubber grips, I use a small screwdriver to slightly lift the grip then my air hose to shoot air between the grip and handlebars.
